Super Mario 63 Redux [Tiny Demo]

we're so back

Every time I press z, it stops the game and opens a dialogue box at the bottom of the screen. This makes the game basically unplayable, which is a shame because it looks so cool.

I don't see any other comments about this problem, so maybe it's just me? Anyone know how to fix it?

it might be because I'm on chrome book so I'm not counting lag but music glitchs when going to new area. again I have a chromebook

basiclly you reset the lvl while the animation from lvl to lvl is active and you reset the timer in the next lvl

Cant do it in last 2 cuz it removes flud tho

Edit: yeah playing with lag makes ya' play better

I played the web version, sadly the joystick support isn't good, I can't  use FLUDD and Ground Pound. When I read the first sign the game freezes, but I liked the game anyway. I played the "original" Mario 63 several years ago and I hope this one reach the complete version

I just played the Windows version  and is way better and joystick controls work great, but  the first bug I mentioned still happens

can we please talk about how this is a rare instance of a actually good Mario fangame on itch.io. This is good!

This feels like honest to god Super Mario 63 with a seriously needed coat of paint. You all did wonderful, it feels just as fantastic as the original release without any of the annoying janky bits. Keep going! I'd love to see this project come into full fruition.
